I don't think she had the best voice, the best songs, best movies, etc. But I think she was one of the best anyway. What dawned on me after watching a few of her music videos was that she never comes off as trashy. I think she's charming.

Alicia Keys
I think she's very talented. She writes all of her music and can perform well live, by herself. It's hard to play an instrument and sing at the same time, and she does it well.

Dashboard Confessional
Unpretentious and a great lyricist. He once played outside of a venue after one of his concerts for all the people who couldn't get in.

Eminem
I'm not overly fond of his music, but I do think he's talented and smart as hell. He knows what people want and he gives it to them. He gets tons of criticism, but the people still love him; even people like my junior year english teacher and Flute J, unlikely fans if I should say so myself. Go fig. And you know what? 8 Mile was actually a decent movie.

Jack Johnson

I just like the image he conveys. His songs make me smile.

A rapper with a sense of humor. At least I think so.

Missy Elliot
One helluva talented woman. Probably one of the most innovative minds in music. Plus she has a sense of humor, even when it comes to herself.

Yesterday I saw Tough Girl when Sunflower and I went to go exchange gifts with her.

We then proceeded to go fetch Leah and then go to eat the best Braziltalian food in Pasadena and then got free doughnuts at JJs in Monterey Park and met up with Sar and got down and dirty with some pound cake and frosting at Ralphs in Atlantic Square. I have pictures =D

Oh man I'm so happy I could scream. The first thing I did after calling TELE was jump around my room and laugh like a madwoman.

And this is something rather funny that I meant to post quite a long time ago but never got around to it...DMan sent it to me while I was in lab one night. I thought it was hilarious.

The bf and I went to go see Harry Potter tonight. The showing was at eight, and we got there a 1/2 hour early. There were a bunch of people waiting around outside for the 12:10 am showing of Lord of the Rings. Craaaazy. By the time we got out of the movie there was a huge line. G'dang. I think I'm going to wait a while to see it...if I see it at all. Ha. Which reminds me, I don't think I've seen the entire first part...maybe I should go do that.

We went to dinner at this little Japanese place before we went to the movie. Service was horrible. It was even worse than the service we got at Cobras and Matadors because hey, at least we got service. Neither of us are in any hurry to make a return visit to Full Moon restaurant on Ellis...and neither should you. Their variety isn't that great anyway. Think I'll stick to Tenko.

Man it's gotten cold. I'm going to do some Christmasy stuff tomorrow. Shopping. Blah.

Goodnight all you people drops. What are people drops? I saw them in a candy store at the Block. Anyway, yes. Peace out.

Actually I shouldn't even be doing this I should be unpacking and cleaning up my horrendously messy side of the room but alas, I have a lazy ass.

Just had to gloat for a second :)

I just came back from the bf's, and I took his sister T back with me since she lives in the apartment right by mine. Talked to her until her boyfriend opened the door and said "shhhh..." Learned a little more about the bf (wahahah) among other things. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me *sigh* But I think it'll be worth it. I hope it'll be worth it because I've put a lot into this. Was tempted to give T a few details but the thought of it made me feel traitorious so I just shut my mouth.

Thinking about the future makes me anxious.

Went to a BBQ at the condo on Friday. It was nice seeing the dorm people from last year + DJ. Had to leave early, which I felt bad about. I told XL once that I felt that I was pulling away from everybody and I think it's so because T from the dorms kept telling me "You've changed" and then he said he was kidding but I don't think he was...

I don't want to lose everyone but I'm afraid I've always been horrible at keeping my life in balance.

They weren't handcuffs. It was just this puzzle thing where you have to get this ring off of this thing with two horseshoes connected with chains. I kicked booty and got it off in like, five minutes (or less!) Much better than his roomie T (haha)

So here I am at the bf's. He's sleeping so I've taken over his computer. I should be studying but I'm taking a break. ICS51 at 4:00pm, then work for five hours...

only to run into finals week

I went fishing with the bf Sunday afternoon. I don't think I should go with him anymore. He always loses something...or several somethings...whenever I go with him =( This time it was one rod/reel, a rodholder, and a bunch of weights. Plus the waves were huge and fishing was crappy. I think I'm bad luck =(

Time for work. I'm so tired. I had trouble sleeping because it was so cold last night. I had to throw on a fleece shirt and find my extra blanket before I could sleep. I hate this weather.
