How did I wind up with the Captain Morgan polaroid? The one we took at Fox and Hound?

I found Captain Morgan lip balm in my jacket pocket.

Lefty went snowboarding this past weekend. She doesn't know how to stop either.

February 27, 2005

I think I held those lilies too close to my face because my eyes are itching like a mother.

Did I mention that I have hayfever?

Still need to watch Clockwork Orange, Bichunmoo (just because), and Princess Blade (don't know what it is but David told me to watch it).

I forgot my glasses at home on the bathroom counter.

Cell phone is fully charged. Leave a vmail if you need me, I'll be checking it periodically.

PRINCE IGOR (Borodin) IS A SWEET ASS PIECE. You should listen to it immediately.

Floral

So today is mommy's birthday. She's getting pretty old. She's mos' def in her mid-fifties now. 54. I don't suppose she really wanted me to advertise that, but truth hurts, eh? ;) It's okay. She's aged well and is probably in better health than I am. Happy birthday mommy.

In related news, I went to the florist today. Actually I went to two. The first one had nothing. The second one had a fantastic selection of freakin' fake flowers which they so slyly put on display with some real ones so I had to go around touching everything to figure out what was real and what wasn't. Some of the fakes were obvious, but some almost felt real (damn them).

After much deliberation, I finally decided to get a bunch of lilies. I realize now that it's not so much flowers that I dislike, but roses. Overrated I say. I suppose they're a little too cliché for my taste.

I went to Tower yesterday to check out their classical section only to be shocked and disappointed when I discovered that they had reduced it to a sad little table against the wall. What was once their "budget classical" section had now become the entire classical section. Such a shame. I've been looking for a decently priced recording of Prince Igor but I couldn't find anything by Borodin, let alone that particular piece. So much for that.

Lagging...

Holy crap, so a lot of things have happened and I have the pictures to prove it.

Now I just need to get around to posting those photos. Am I behind or am I behind?

Vegas II
End of finals
McGillicuddy's
Oseibo
TGIFs
Korean food/Korean booze
HoHo's birthday
Movie/tea/foos(pringles)
NY eve/NY day
Last days of break
Norcal trip I
Dinner/fondue
Dinner/Sharky's
GH Bar
Valentine's
45cent BABEs @TGIFs
Norcal trip II
And I'm sure I'm missing lots of crap somewhere in between.

Like clubbing w/ CA at Naga. Sorta. Due to our roomie being the historian for CA, April and I wound up in a lot of random photos with people I do not really know or even remember meeting.

Xin is wearing my top in the photos. I think she looks better in it than I do ;P

February 26, 2005

So I need to get my life together. Everything is starting to settle and I think I should be falling back into place as well. I need to start taking care of myself, physically, emotionally, academically. Because things are more difficult for me at this point, I really need to crack down and make a concious effort to do things right.

Time to go out and do something productive. Sometimes I forget that the world is still turning.

random crap

I realized that if you ignore tone quality, range, and in-tuneness (all minor details) I have one helluva singing voice.

On another note (no pun intended) here's an awesome poem you should all print out and give to your secret crushes.

I should have said it right then, right there
In despair and scared, your beauty no one can compare
A beauty that I feared was out of reach
Like a sunset beach, with the cool ocean breeze
Your presence brings me to ease
The calm blue seas, my worries flees
Leaves me when you’re near
Please, don’t walk away from what you will hear
I’m afraid it might be too late
To state my feelings, the happiness you create
Your eyes inspires my life
Your smile ignite the fires of the night
What I am actually trying to say,
I… I think you are really cool and wonderful
And I just want to know you more…
To know who you are, to listen, to share, to care
I never seen someone so lovely,
So magnificent that you take the breath out of my lungs
I freeze, shaking at the knees, wondering why I feel so uneasy
Maybe cause I held this in for so long and I had to free me
From being imprisoned from me own thoughts
I just forgot to tell you…
Sorry to bother you with this lame poem
But I had to know the unknown….
Would I ever see you again?
Or is with this message, the end…

ps Happy Holidays

random photos

Okay, so it's kind of fixed. Plus I managed to get some random photos up. Most of them are fairly recent since those were lying around on my desktop (i.e. were accessible). Still a work in progress but it looks better now...right on.

Music

I've been listening to some good AALIYAH over the past couple of days. I Care 4 U and her self-titled album. GOOD STUFF. I think I got all indied/rocked out over the weekend.

Well, with the exception of one song. Trampoline by Calamine is a good song, but I really think that the only way to get a hold of it is to download it somehow. I don't think they ever had an actual recording out in stores.

Time to finish getting ready for class.

February 22, 2005

Aaron: Man, my butt hurts.

Brian: Oh, sorry...

What makes it even better is that they woke all of us up before 8am by singing the chorus to Candy Shop while they were lying in bed together.

Stephie has more excellent quotes ;)

Thanks for yet another excellent weekend guys.

spam

So April and I are going to be mass-producing spam musubi once more (first time was for Vegas pt I) for all of you lucky bastards. Now, I can't cook worth a damn but thanks to those Jr. Y fundraisers I can assembly-line those spam things like no other.

Road-trippin' it tomorrow afternoon. I may not make it back alive either because I died from breaking something important (like my neck) while snowboarding (more like "snowboarding" in my case) or from the cold. Esp since I'm probably going to be facedown in the snow for 75% of my time on the slopes.

But...oh man...ca phe sua da is so strong...I think I'm going to die right now.

Maybe I won't even make it up this weekend...haha.y

SO

I had an excellent weekend, an excellent vday, and an excellent night out with some other ICSers at TGIFriday's last night.

In all honesty, I have very little to say as of late. Perhaps I have found other outlets...?

I think that I was a really closed person in high school. That changed somewhat after I got to college, but I don't think I really learned to open up until recently. Maybe the past year or so.

I've also gotten a lot meaner since high school. Oh well. What can you do?

i didn't even know which key was the laundry key so i took all of them. i was planning to stand at the door and try all of them but some nice fellow saw me struggling with my laundry and opened the door for me.

thanks for letting me use your laundry goodies april love.y

so crap in my life is starting to settle down kind of. it's a different kind of routine, but routine nonetheless.

and i now have an organizer so i can stop forgetting all the plans that i make and assignments that i have (oops).

my hands feel filthy. sometimes i wonder how much dry erase ink i've ingested since i began tutoring last quarter.t

February 11, 2005
this morning....

so they (the four 45 cent babes + david) either a) all decided to stay home and sleep in/study for today's midterm or b) showed up to discussion on time, picked up their midterms, discovered that they rocked that shiet (meaning that they didn't need to stand around and ask for a regrade) and left discussion early WHICH IS WHAT I DID (as in i did option b minus the showing up to discussion on time part i was 10 minutes late)!!!!

now i just have to worry about this midterm which in theory should be easier but is something that i'm probably going to just barely pass because sometimes i wonder what the point of the class is (aside from the obvious--it fulfills a requirement). and the vast majority of the material looks pointless and not worth studying.

we are studying people who research company organizations and systems. when they make up names for existing concepts that already have names, they get nobel prizes. when i do it, i get points deducted. wtf.

(link) Midori | 0 comments | 9:31 PM

In the past week I have done two things that are out of character: go to the gym two days in a row and parallel park. The best thing is, because I went to the gym two days in a row my whole upper body hurts (including my ribs for whatever reason) it's hard to steer but I still managed to get my car in on the first try.

Okay so the space was big and it was in a parking lot, but whatever.

Sleep is an excellent substitute for coffee, but it doesn't taste as good.

February 07, 2005

Oh and by the way Irreversible disturbed me deeply. The first half hour or so was all unnerving music and crazy imagery. For some reason I found it even more difficult to watch than Audition which I hear had a huge number of walkouts during the end sequence.

I don't know if I could watch it again...well, watch it alone anyway which is a shame because I bought it...haha.

There have been some major changes that I've been having to make. Becomes very apparent to me when I find the words "my boyfriend" coming out of my mouth just out of habit. I have to catch myself every now and then.

Creating a variable like int thisIsTheIntUsedInTheFirstForLoop and then using it in a for loop is bound to piss of your TA's as we learned from our professor. He's a good guy.

February 06, 2005

okay so i just discovered that i am a supergeek for not only knowing what 1337 means but also for assuming that everyone else knows.

it's either that or i hang around too many supergeeks.

ps. i'm not a gamer

Slightly random

I don't get wireless at my apartment, the omegapimp house of babes in Lake Forest, and most locations on campus. I do, however, get wireless in this small dental office in Garden Grove.

Aaron is getting knocked out and massacred as I type.

I'm kind of hungry.

Midterm in about four hours.

On another note, is there anyone who doesn't know what 1337 means nowadays?

February 03, 2005

Okay so Sara posted this countdown thing a loooong time ago. I'll start with ten, and maybe I'll eventually get around to the other numbers.

<>TEN random things about me

10) I've been an apple owner since 9.0, and a user pre-GUI. I am, however, the only one in this apartment without an iPod. Unfair.
9) I used to be afraid of a teacher at my daycare, one of the ministers' daughters, my grandfather's sneezes, my brother's closet door, and that six armed goddess thing in It's a Small World at Disneyland.
8) I only have 24 teeth (I've gotten eight pulled)
7) When I was a baby, my pediatrician said I'd grow to be about 5'6". So much for that.
6) I think I could go for six weeks without washing clothes and still not run out of underwear
5) I can't seem to hold a fork or spoon correctly, but I can use chopsticks just fine (reason being that one day, my mom wouldn't let me eat until I got it right)
4) I think that over my lifetime, I've only been to 3 weddings.
3) But...I've been to about 15 funerals. Go figure.
2) I once cut myself with a spoon. And a plastic knife.
1) I am the only person I know who has gotten 3 gutter balls while bumper bowling. I should have gotten 20 points each time because that's talent.
